God eternal plan is to bless Israel nation and then use Israel as the channel of blessing to the entire world (Genesis 12:2-3: Isaiah 2:2).
This information and detailed plan culminates in the Lord’s coming to earth where he will set up his kingdom in Zion for ever (Micah 4:7). The Lord promise to descend into the midst of his people Malachi 3:1-3
So God came into his creation via his word Jesus John 1:1,2,10,14 and he was born to the Jewish family as promised so his first mission is to the jews and afterwards he sent his disciples to carry on his mission by preaching the gospel to the ENTIRE WORLD
John 3:16 matttew 28:19-20.
Jesus mission is of two folds First to the jews and second to the gentiles
John 10:16 Jesus says (ESV quoted):
And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”—Romans 1:16-17 (ESV)
Jesus said to the woman in Matthew 15:24
He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel
He was coming from.the background of the Jew using the word they use for gentiles bit the woman realises she is not a dog but one of the children and Jesus extended his helping hand
Jesus sent his disciples and specifically tells them not to preach to Gentiles (Matthew 10:5-6): to fulfill his first mission
These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, “Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
How do we know Jesus is for the world? He interacted with the non jews at some interval of his ministry to open ground for their evangelism see these examples
He helped the Syrophenician (Greek) woman by healing her daughter Matthew 15:28 mark 7:25-29
He healed the centurion servant Matthew 8:5-13.
he speaks to the Samaritan woman at the well John 4:4-7.
He also referred to the gentiles as the ripped field ready for harvest John 4:31-38 (ESV
Many Samaritan belief him John 4:39
Christ’s journey into “the country of the Gerasenes” to heal a demoniac man proof he is not only for the jew(Mark 5:1-20) he even sent him to proclaim the gospel to his family verses 19-20
He also said to the jews in Matthew 21:43
“Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
The gentiles today are the one producing fruits thereof.
Jesus spent most of his time teaching Jews but Jesus did go into the non Jew regions inhabited by the gentiles areas such as Decapolis,Tyre and Sidon ( which began as Greek colonies and at that time were heavily influenced by Rome). Mark 7:24-30 (ESV)
More importantly after his resurrection he sent his disciples to the all nations starting from Jerusalem
Matthew 28:18-20 and Act 1:8
The disciples were initially reluctant but with the help of holyspirit were able to spread the gospel to the gentiles and other nations fullfilling the great commission
Peter was commanded in the dream to preach to Cornelius a gentile meanwhile the Lord allowed the church to be persecuted and this moved them to fulfill the great commission as they all spread out outside Jerusalem to preach the gospel to the gentiles and after Paul conversion he took the gospel to the gentiles as well. Act 13:46-48 Act 15:13-18
